Here's an update on some podcast guests Nancy and Alex Berry, whose son Jake was diagnosed with testicular cancer at 16.  

Cancer research provided the Berry family with the cure needed to save Jake.  


Today JAMA Oncology released a peer-reviewed manuscript first authored by Ravi B Parikh, MD, MPP, guiding the research and care of patients with advanced solid tumors who are traditionally ineligible for phase 3 clinical trials using immune checkpoint inhibiter therapy.


You met Brittany in 2018 – she was well, but still managing complications from cancer treatment. Today, between taking field trips with her daughter and planning for a family-filled holiday season, she is happy and thriving.  

Two days before her 28th birthday, Brittany Sullivan was diagnosed with a rare, Stage IV sarcoma. She was also pregnant.  To bring light to the darkness of that terrible day, Brittany’s husband, John, gave her an early birthday present.  


Raymond Mailhot, MD, MPH, dedicates his research to improving radiation treatment. He cares for pediatric patients and patients with breast cancer, and he leads the hematology malignancy radiotherapy program. In this Q&A, Dr. Mailhot shares how he's working to accelerate equity in cancer care and reflects on personal experiences with structural racism in oncology.


The golf purse was more than $1 million at the Champions Course at PGA National Resort & Spa, and patients everywhere were the winners when golf greats Jack Nicklaus, Ernie Els, and Annika Sörenstam joined players in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., for the Integra Connect Golf Classic October 3-4, 2021.
