CHICAGO, IL (June 3, 2019) – Gateway for Cancer Research℠, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding transformational cancer research, announces a scientific partnership with Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation to establish the Gateway Discovery Grant Program.
Through donations, sponsorships, and a silent auction the dinner raised enough funds to grants the equivalent of 17 Young Investigator Awards (YIA).
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation today announced the 2019 recipients of its Advanced Clinical Research Award in Breast Cancer, Career Development Awards, Young Investigator Awards, and Global Oncology Young Investigator Awards. These awards provide funding to early to mid-career oncologists conducting clinical research across the cancer care continuum. Research projects conducted by this year’s awardees seek to provide additional insight into precision medicine, psychosocial and supportive care, use of digital technologies, and liquid biopsy application.
Alexandria, Va. – Conquer Cancer®, the ASCO Foundation today announced the recipients of its 2019 Medical Rotation for Underrepresented Populations Awards (MSR), Resident Travel Awards for Underrepresented Populations (RTA), Long-term International Fellowship (LIFe), and International Development and Education Awards (IDEA). All four awards are designed to support the work and interest of young researchers and medical professionals and help facilitate the recruitment and retention of individuals from populations underrepresented in medicine to cancer careers.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The Conquer Cancer Foundation of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) is pleased to announce the recipients of its 2019 ASCO Annual Meeting Merit Awards. These distinguished awards support oncology trainees who are first authors on abstracts selected for presentation at the ASCO Annual Meeting. This year, Conquer Cancer will recognize 125 recipients with Merit Awards at the 2019 ASCO Annual Meeting, having already awarded 33 symposia-specific Merit Awards in 2019.
